Borg Knight Solicitors together with Law at Work (Malta) and BCGL Advocates organised an interactive workshop on How to Avoid the Finding of An Unfair Dismissal Claim. This was held on 5 March 2010.   In view of the demand an afternoon workshop was also organised. During the two workshops the following was discussed: 

 When can an employer terminate an employee's employment. 

 The proper and fair procedure to follow.

 How to conduct a fair hearing.

 What records should be kept and why.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Roselyn Knight, Dr. Matthew Brincat and Dr. Andrew Borg Cardona.  The facilitator for the workshop was Mr. John Muscat Drago.

Roselyn Knight was part of the panel for the debate on the impact of online developments on European job growth prospects. This was held on the EU stand and webcast (via the EURES website) from London on 1st December 2009. Click here to watch the interview.

BCGL Advocates, Law at Work (Malta) and Borg Knight Solicitors came together on 5 November 2009 at the Westin Dragonora Resort, St. Julian’s Malta to discuss the latest cases on employment law. This was the first annual half day conference of its kind. This conference was aimed at HR professionals, union representatives and employers. The conference was also relevant to in-house lawyers and advocates who practice in employment law.
